Water Purification: No Moving Parts and a Weak Electrical Field Posted: 10 Sep 2010 10:50 PM PDT Stanford researchers have developed a water purification system that kills bacteria as they pass through an electrical field. The device has no moving parts, consumes just a few milliamperes of electricity and is intended to run from solar power in remote areas of the world where chemical treatments are not possible. |
