Mobilink Employees Distribute Eid Gifts Among Flood Victims Posted: 08 Sep 2010 02:18 AM PDT Mobilink Employees Distribute Eid Gifts Among Flood Victims is a post from: ProPakistani Mobilink carried out a special relief activity in which employees of Mobilink distributed 'Eid Gift Packs' among flood victims at various relief camps in Multan. Mobilink, with its commitment to help flood victims in this hour of need has appealed to the masses to remember their brethren on this Eid and cut short their Eid expenditure so that more money could be donated in relief funds. The Eid gifts distribution was arranged by Mobilink Foundation Torchbearers along with volunteers from different departments of Mobilink. The volunteer employees distributed Eid gifts among women and children and also spent time with the flood victims in the relief camps. The gifts packs consisted of mehndi, bangles for women and dolls, footballs, toys, wrist watches and sun glasses for children. Employee volunteerism is a core value of Mobilink's Culture of Excellence and employees are strongly encouraged to develop a humanitarian spirit. The Mobilink Foundation Torchbearers are sanctioned to clock an average of 4 to 5 dedicated hours per person per month during official working hours. On average the volunteers spent more than 4,800 hours in 2009 in community service initiatives. In the past, Mobilink has carried out extensive relief efforts for the 2005 earthquake victims as well as built a large relief camp for accommodating 1,000 families of IDPs from Swat in 2009. Warid Loses its CTO, Irfan Chaudhry Posted: 08 Sep 2010 12:27 AM PDT Warid Loses its CTO, Irfan Chaudhry is a post from: ProPakistani Irfan Chaudhry, Chief Technical Officer at Warid Telecom has resigned from his position, we have confirmed with sources close to the company. According to sources, the resignation came after Mr. Chaudhry's differences with higher management. Moreover, before resigning he was on leave for a month and a half. Mr. Ziarab Kiyani is given the interim control of engineering division, who is also acting General Manager for IT at Warid. It is not clear who will be the next CTO of Warid.
