Check out the Varsity Snuggie Deals

Posted: 28 Aug 2010 07:00 AM PDT

There are 2 different $5 Varsity Snuggie coupons.

Kohl’s has them on sale through tonight for $9.99. Call your Kohl’s to see if they take coupons, some do!

Target has them on clearance (in some stores) for $7.99!

CVS will have them on sale starting 9/5 for $14.99. (not really the best deal)

I have a snuggie and I love it. However it does conduct a lot of static electricity so make sure you ground yourself before you touch your computer when wearing the Snuggie!

*HOT* Join the Chili’s eClub and get THREE hot coupons!

Posted: 28 Aug 2010 06:49 AM PDT

When you join the Chili’s email club, you will INSTANTLY be able to print a coupon for a free order of chips and Queso. You will also receive a coupon for a FREE Brownie Sundae and a third coupon for a FREE appetizer. I am not sure if those coupons come all at once or spread out.

My husband joined the club about a month ago and went to pick up our order to go (we also got the Quesadilla Explosion salad, so good!) and the bag of chips was HUGE. It was bigger than a bag of tortilla chips at the grocery store. And the Queso, yum, yum yum!

Rite Aid 8.29 to 9.4 (12 under $1, 7 are free!)

Things to remember about Rite Aid

  • They have Single Check Rebates (SCR) that change monthly. You can submit for them online after you purchase the products. You will receive a check within 6 weeks. This is a check you can deposit into your checking account. If you make money on these, you could add it to your fund if you want.
  • Up Rewards are just like CVS’s Extra Care Bucks. They print on the end of your receipt and you can use them to buy another product in the store (excluding prescriptions, tobacco, alcohol, etc).
  • Video Values are coupons you receive for watching videos on Rite Aid’s website. You print them out and present them in the store.
  • You need your free Wellness Card to earn rewards and more.

You can print out a coupon for $5/$25 purchase!

Day 28 of No Dining Out August

Posted: 28 Aug 2010 05:37 AM PDT

Can you go an entire month without going out to eat? What about a week or a day? Can you cut your dining bill by 20%, 50% , 75% or more? That is what I challenge you to do!

At the end of the 30 days, I will choose one winner who will get $50 to spend at a restaurant(s) of their choice!

The rules:

1. You must challenge yourself. Try to spend less than you spend now. If you don’t go out to eat at all, challenge yourself to try new meals this month. As long as you are challenging yourself when it comes to your family’s eating habits, you can participate!
2. You must comment on at least 10 days worth of the discussion posts in order to be eligible to win the gift card.
3. The winner will be chosen at random. It won’t matter if you have been 100% successful or not.
4. You are allowed 1 freebie meal that you don’t have to count or report back to us about. Please report on everything else though so we can encourage and support one another!
5. Free meals do not count against you. This is a challenge to spend less money going out to eat than you usually spend. If someone else is paying for the meal or you have a coupon to make it free, great!
6. Here is a thought… consider keeping a tally of what you would of spent this month. For example, if you really want to go out for breakfast this morning and you resist… write that down! You could then donate that money to a food bank or deposit it into your fund!
7. Be sure to check out our list of casserole recipes here and the crock pot recipes here and the under 6 ingredient recipes here and the what’s for dinner posts

My progress:

No dining out for us yesterday. How did you do?

How are you doing?
