SS Jamwal, 51 years old, who was the second in command of the Navy’s Southern Command, was at the training establishment INS Dronacharya’s small arms firing range when the accidental firing occurred around 10.30am, a Navy officer said. The Navy has ordered an investigation into his death. The Navy was, however, tightlipped about how the incident occurred at the training establishment INS Dronacharya. Police said the body was shifted to a hospital and further probe is in progress. Rear Admiral Jamwal was commissioned in the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer on July 1, 1980, and had specialised in anti-submarine warfare (ASW). He was a Naval Attache at the Indian Embassy at Moscow, Russia. His appointments included tenures on Indian naval ships — Taragiri, Atul, Rajput, Ranvijay and Command of Ships Vibhuti and Kuthar, Commissioning Executive Officer of Guided Missile Destroyer INS Delhi and Commissioning Commanding Officer of Guided Missile Frigate INS Beas. His staff appointments at Naval headquarters included Joint Director of Staff Requirement and Director Naval Operations. How to Apply: Candidates fulfilling the above eligibility norms may forward their application (addressed to Sr. Manager (HR) at the above address) on plain paper with complete bio-data including Name, Mailing Address, Date of Birth, Nationality, Educational qualification (from school onwards) with year of passing, Percentage of marks, whether belonging to reserved category, Experience, Details of Employment (period with dates, Post held, Nature of Duties and responsibilities), last emoluments drawn with full details of various components, a recent passport size photograph affixed on the application along with a Demand Draft/Bankers' cheque of Rs.500/- (not applicable for SC/ST/PWD category) drawn in favour of Power Finance Corporation Limited payable at New Delhi (in case applying for more than one post, separate application may be forwarded) and superscribing the envelope with the post applied so as to reach on or before the 2nd August 2010. In respect of applications received only by post (by Post/ Speed post)from the candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti district and Pangi sub division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Island or Lakshadweep or abroad, the last date for receipt of applications is 9th August 2010. The benefit of extended date will be available only in respect of applications received by Post/ Speed Post from the above mentioned areas/regions. In case of applications received by hand or through courier service, benefit of extended time will not be available regardless of the place of residence of the applicant. The applicants can collect the form from railway stations, but they will have to submit it along with the required documents and demand draft at a TJSB branch. The TJSB Branches are located at these places in Navi Mumbai: Vashi, Panvel and Airoli. The CIDCO Flats/ Housing Project Forms will be also available across the state in TJSB Branches. Under this CIDCO Ulwe project 1,344 Units to be build and these will be mainly MIG Group Residential Units UL I (210 Sq Ft) which will cost around 6-7 Lakh Rupees in INR. 8 Units of UL II-A (250.90 Sq Ft) will be also available in this CIDCO Project and will be available for 8.83 Lakh Rupees INR. There is also 538 Units of UL II (320 Sq Ft) which will cost 10-11 Lakhs INR. The entire township is expected to take at least another 18 months to be ready.
