Facebook launches Recruiting Tool for pages Posted: 29 Jun 2010 08:06 PM PDT Facebook has launched a new app called Work For Us which enables your Facebook company page to become a recruiting tool – allowing companies to post jobs and receive applications via Facebook. The application went live earlier this year, and has now passed the 1,000 business users Once companies have installed the app, a ‘Work For Us’ menu tab appears on their Facebook profile/page displaying a searchable list of the companies job openings. Job seekers can then apply for these positions inside Facebook. Companies can further promote their job openings using Facebook's ‘like’ and ’share’ functionality, and also automatically create Facebook ads pointing to their recruitment job search. Facebook have enabled a free version of the application whereby companies can display just one job listing. If more positions are required then company subscriptions start at $9 per month for 5 ads at any one time. The other plans available include: - $49 / month, 25 job slots per month - $199 / month, 75 job slots per month - $499 / month, unlimited job slots To find out more about this new feature goto: http://www.facebook.com/apps/application.php?id=404596412628&v=app_109331775755516 And more importantly! There has been speculation that Facebook or Yahoo was going to purchase funding but this latest move puts that issue to rest. Foursquare now employs 27 people and is close to reaching 1.8 million users globally. CEO Dennis Crowley has said on the company blog that the latest funding will go into expanding the team and infrastructure. Some of this money will also go into a new office for the expanding team. © admin for Social Media News, 2010. | Permalink | No comment | Add to del.icio.us |
