 Emmett Till's story has been defined by justice denied and justice delayed. But there is now an effort to mark a new and more hopeful chapter in the story of the Chicago teen whose savage killing galvanized the civil rights movement.I met an anthropologist from a well-known Midwestern university who had never heard of Till. After telling her the story, she was deeply concerned that neither she or her students knew about Till. This prompted her husband, store owner Roy Bryant, and his half-brother, J.W. Milam, to abduct, beat and shoot Till and throw his body in a river. An open-casket funeral and news pictures of his disfigured face caused worldwide news coverage of the case, in which an all-white jury acquitted the killers. After the trial, the two men, now immune from further prosecution, confessed the killing to the magazine Look.  |

AMC's " Mad Men," a dark period drama set in the 1960s on Madison Avenue, won its third consecutive Emmy for drama series, while Bryan Cranston, star of AMC's " Breaking Bad," won his third lead acting Emmy for his portrayal of Walter White, a science teacher-turned- crystal meth cook. Mike Hale: was happy to see Jim Parsons win for outstanding actor in a comedy. I'm not sure why, but it was one of the few moments that actually felt like a traditional awards show. Persistence rewarded, or something like that.  |

And she emerged the winner. There were a lot of tears. The episode I submitted had a lot of darkens and a lot of light but a lot of darkness and a lot of tears. I think the tears might have helped to be perfectly honest. She (the character) rides the edge of being very dangerous. Kyra told reporters that while she hadn't won yet for The Closer, each nomination was a confidence booster for her.  |

It's one of the best performances he's ever done along with his work in "Dog Day Afternoon" and when he won his first Emmy for "Angels in America."This biography of a woman with Autism seems to be the surprising runaway winner at the Emmys tonight with three wins so far all the acting categories.It's funny to see that everytime a winner from the film mention's Dr.Grandin's name, she stands up in the audience and waves.
