| Dennis Hopper's Daughter Caught In Estate Battle Posted: 17 Jun 2010 08:11 AM PDT An ugly battle is brewing over Dennis Hopper's estate, and an unintended victim could be his 7-year-old daughter Galen, TMZ reports. Prior to Hopper's death last month after battling prostate cancer, he and his fifth wife Victoria Duffy were in the midst of a bitter divorce. In his final months, Hopper had been ordered to pay $12,000 a month - $8,000 per month in spousal, and $4000 per month in child support - to his estranged wife. Further, Victoria and Galen were living on the family compound in Venice, Calif. Weeks after Hopper's death, the trustees are now fighting to get Victoria and Galen off the property as soon as possible. As for dividing up the estate, Hopper reportedly drafted an amendment to his estate plan back in March, in which he effectively tried to cut down Galen's share from 40% to 25%. Under California law, however, the amendment may not be valid since changes to an estate plan are severely restricted when a divorce is pending. In the meantime Victoria believes she's entitled to 25% of Hopper's estate, while the trustees believe she should receive nothing.  |

As the world prepares to memorialize the King of Pop on June 25, his loved ones are still sorting through their grief. "It just shook up the family," his brother Tito tells In Touch. Like Tito, brother Marlon says that Michael is always on his mind. The family has gone to great lengths to allow Michael's three children, Prince, 13, Paris, 12, and Blanket, 8, to grieve on their own time. Despite much talk that Janet might take over custody of the kids, Tito says this is false, but "Janet will do anything that she feels is necessary for her niece and nephews." For now, the children will stay with their mother Katherine, with everyone pitching in. Both uncles describe them as normal, happy kids. "Prince likes electronics. He can hook up about anything. He also likes karate," says Marlon. And all of the kids are musically talented. "I truly believe that God blessed this family with the gift of music to make people happy all over the world. If they want to become performers, that's fine with me and my mom, but they also have to get an education," Marlon adds.  |

| Alicia Keys Considering Adopting From Africa Posted: 16 Jun 2010 08:15 PM PDT An expectant Alicia Keys is considering adopting a child from Africa in the future, Britain's Daily Mirror reports. The mom-to-be regularly visits Africa in conjunction with her Keep A Child Alive charity, which helps youngsters whose parents have died of AIDS. The heartbreaking trips have left Keys wanting to help out.
After her performance at the pre-World Cup concert, Alicia said that she's never been so inspired in her life. "The people I met last time I was in Africa inspired me more than anything in my life. I cried a lot. It was extremely emotional and it changed me. It was heartbreaking but also heart lifting." The 29-year-old songstress is expecting her first child with fiance Swizz Beatz later this year.  |
