Kajal Agarwal celebrates her 25th birthday today. Starting with a small role as a friend of Aishwarya Rai in a Hindi film titled 'Kyun Hogayana', Kajal Agarwal has come a long way since she debuted in Telugu films.
Her first Telugu film 'Lakshmi Kalyanam' was opposite Kalyan Ram directed by Teja. Though she was selected to act in Bharathi Raja's 'Bommalatam', it was released only few years later. In the mean time she found a firm standing in Telugu with 'Chandamama' and other films.
And with 'Magadheera', she cemented her place in the Telugu cinema. She followed it up with 'Darling', and is doing more films which include 'Brindavana' opposite Jr.NTR, Merupu with Ramcharan Tej, and one each with NagaChaitanya and Prabhas.
We wish this girl a very happy 25th birthday.

Omkar challenges ‘Aata’ show ban

Producers of 'Aata', the reality show telecast on Zee Telugu moved the AP High Court on Thursday, challenging the order passed by the State Human Rights Commission against telecast of shows featuring children. The show producers, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd along with N Omkar, filed two separate writ petitions in the high court saying that SHRC abruptly passed the order without giving the show producers an opportunity to present their version. The petitioner further claimed that they would suffer heavy financial losses if the show was withdrawn abruptly.
The petitioners claimed that the SHRC passed orders without application of mind. The petitioner sought an interim suspension of the SHRC order. City police commissioner A K Khan, meanwhile, said that several TV channels have complied to the noticed issued by police asking them to refrain from broadcasting objectionable content.
Acting on the APSHRC and high court's orders, city police issued notices to various TV channels to stop broadcasting programmes with obscene, violent content and programmes that violate child rights.
According to Khan, several channels have stopped airing such programmes after receiving notices from the police and a committee has been formed to monitor and report the TV programmes.
"A three-member committee consisting of an ACP and two inspectors has been formed to closely monitor all the programmes aired by TV channels. It will submit a report and the same will be forwarded to the high court," the commissioner said.
