| Are we addicted to the internet? Posted: 15 Jun 2010 09:09 PM PDT  The internet is a tool many of us use everyday for work or personal reasons. In fact we recently celebrated the internet becoming 20 years old. Fact is the first 10 years of the internet slowly gathered new users. The last 10 years – user numbers have exploded! It is reported now 1 in 8 internet users suffer a serious problem (or addition) with the internet. As of 2010 there are about 1.8 Billion people using the internet.

| What companies are the most social? Infograph Posted: 15 Jun 2010 08:04 PM PDT  A recent study – the NetProspex Social 50 looks at the social media/network usage of employees, and ranks the top 50 organisations overall social media activity. A range of companies are analysed including: Microsoft, LinkedIn, Facebook, MySpace, eBay, Amazon, Google, IBM, Sun, Dell, Oracle, CISCO, HP, Intel, Twitter, Nike, Coca Cola, Kodak plus many others. Stats analysed include: Microsoft comes out on top, which is great as they are clearly embracing social media.

| Posted: 15 Jun 2010 06:22 PM PDT  We heard the word about Google TV since March, the excitement finally become part of the Google I / O last month, when the ambitious project has been revealed. Now Google has released a video that illustrates how it works. Combining television and Web content to create one, simple experience. People have said this could possible foil the Boxee Box. Boxee’s release date has been postponed until November 2010 (Google-TV is also available in autumn). Watching the video, we must admit that the experience seems quite interesting (but who did the video is pretty bad taste in TV shows). Google TV will have compatibility with Adobe Flash, the ability to Search for TV and web applications simultaneously and run Android, and its various form factors (external set-top boxes or integrated into the Sony TV).
