| Have we giving too much information to Facebook, Apple and Google? Posted: 06 Sep 2010 05:46 PM PDT  Have we shared too much of our personal info with Facebook, Apple and Google? Facebook now has 500 million users globally, with 250 million logging in daily. The average user is creating 90 pieces of content each month. To use a Facebook application the user must give the application access to their personal information. At the moment there are around 550,000 Facebook applications which 70% of users are accessing. 1 Billion internet searches are conducted on Google’s 450,000 servers daily. The information is retained for up to 18 months. Apple now has 140 million iTunes users and the data it collects from iPhone, iPad, and iTunes users is now sold and licensed to 3rd parties. If you do not agree to the iTunes Terms and Conditions about your information being shared – you cannot access the iTunes store.
